We are excited to announce an open call for musicians, performers, artists, and cultural creators to join us in a Celebration of Culture—a dynamic festival in Aldergrove B.C. that celebrates the rich tapestry of traditions, art forms, and performances from around the world!


This event is an opportunity for artists of all disciplines to showcase their unique talents, share their cultural heritage, and engage with diverse audiences in a vibrant, inclusive setting. Whether you're a musician, dancer, visual artist, spoken word performer, theatre troupe, or creator of any kind, we want to celebrate the beauty of culture through your work!


The 2025 Celebration of Culture is a month-long event that takes place on various dates throughout March and aims to celebrate diversity through hands-on cultural programming. This event provides space for education, connection, and the celebration of our cultural differences through music, dance, performance, workshops, and more.


We are seeking:

  • Musicians: All genres, from traditional to contemporary, instrumental to vocal.
  • Dancers & Performers: Soloists, ensembles, and groups who can share the rhythms of their traditions, from folk dance to modern interpretations.
  • Theatre Groups: Performances, monologues, or short plays that tell stories of culture, identity, and community.
  • Spoken Word/Poetry Performers: Artists using words to explore themes of culture, identity, and belonging.
  • Cultural Storytellers: Individuals or groups sharing folklore, myths, or oral traditions.


Submission Deadline: Saturday February 8, 2025

Event dates: Each Saturday of March 2025

Performance Location: Aldergrove Kinsmen Community Centre

Application Process

This is a competitive selection process. Not all applicants will be selected to participate in the event. Our team will review each submission based on artistic quality, cultural relevance, diversity of representation, and logistical feasibility.
