Join us on April 22nd, at 5:00 PM for the Green Art Exhibition Reception. Enjoy complimentary food and refreshments courtesy of the Fort Pub, and the Green Art Exhibition Awards Ceremony!

About the Exhibition:

Green Art: Sharing Sustainable Approaches and Practices, a pop-up traveling exhibition will be on display at the Aldergrove Kinsmen Community Centre from April 5 to 17, 2023, and then travel to the Riverside Community Room in Fort Langley from April 20 to May 4, 2023.

This exhibition dives into the sustainable art movement and provides a platform for artists and community members to share their artistic approaches to green art.

The creation of green art emphasizes two main ideas:

Repurposing materials that would otherwise be discarded after their intended use/life.
Mindfully choosing materials and using equipment that is more environmentally friendly, such as plant-based paints/pigments, and limiting the use of power tools/energy consumption.

The goal of this exhibition is to engage and inspire community members of all ages to learn different ways of using and viewing used items from households, workplaces, and businesses.
