Details about the Opening Reception

Join the Langley Arts Council and participating artists in our BC-Wide Prize-Winning Exhibition. This exhibition is hosted annually and includes artists from across British Columbia. Each year, the Arts Council brings in Guest Adjudicators for this show, and prizes are handed out annually. During this reception, enjoy light refreshments, live music, view the show, cast your vote for the People's Choice Award, talk to the artists, and shop their works!


Musical Entertainment Provided By

Paul Taylor
Guitarist, Paul Tayor has enjoyed a lifetime of music and music education performing and recording over the last 55 years. Based in Vancouver he performs regularly with local bands including South Van Big Band, Urbana and Soul Driver.
Over the last five years, Paul has performed in multiple tours in Ontario, Alberta and BC - rocking the blues with noted Canadian Blues Recording Artist, Lee Holmes.


Bryan Phenix
Bryan been involved in music since childhood in Saskatchewan where he played piano and clarinet. These days he plays with the Jazz Orchestra of the 49th Parallel, South Van Big Band and the White Rock City Orchestra.

Best In Show Prizes and Awards:

We will present four Best in Show awards and one People's Choice Award. This year, the Jury will be responsible for awarding First, Second, and Third place for the exhibition. The People's Choice Award is voted on by event attendees! People's Choice votes are in person during the duration of the reception only.

Annual General Meeting

All are welcome to attend the LAC's Annual General Meeting on Saturday, October 17th! In this year's AGM, we will share the LAC's accomplishments from our 2025 - 2026 Annual Report and what's up and coming with the organization. At this time, some of our Board will be standing for re-election, and a slate of new directors will be presented and welcomed to the Board of Directors.
