Funding of $1,000 Awarded to the Langley Arts Council Through the Township of Langley’s Community Association Grant
In February 2025, the Langley Arts Council was awarded $1,000 through the Township of Langley’s Community Association Grant program in support of our annual Youth Arts Exhibition.
This funding will provide essential support to host the visual arts exhibition and reception at the Aldergrove Kinsmen Community Centre, home of the Langley Arts Council. The grant will assist with the installation and facilitation of the exhibition and reception, showcasing young Township artists aged 14 - 30 alongside other young artists from across British Columbia and beyond.
“This event gives young artists working in 2D and 3D the chance to exhibit their work in a professional space—often for the first time—alongside their peers. It helps them take important steps toward a career in the arts and gain real experience sharing their work with the broader community. Each year, our staff and the local arts community are blown away by the quality of submissions and the care and thoughtfulness behind each piece. We truly look forward to this event every year,” states Executive Director Claire Sarfeld.
The Langley Arts Council, located inside the Aldergrove Kinsmen Community Centre, is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We offer arts programming, exhibition opportunities, free community events, and more. To receive monthly updates about our programming and events, subscribe to the LAC newsletter.
