Funding of $3,999 was awarded to the Langley Arts Council through the BC Arts Council's Arts Infrastructure Program.

April 21, 2023

In November 2022, the Langley Arts Council requested $3,999 from the BC Arts Council's Arts Infrastructure Grant program for our Pliths Project. The Langley Arts Council is pleased to share that this funding was approved in March 2023!

This $3,999 will provide the funds to purchase 4 custom wooden Pliths with plexiglass tops and wheels to display original artworks in the LAC's main hall gallery located inside of the Aldergrove Kinsmen Community Center. The purchase of these plinths will allow the LAC to accommodate the showing of 3D works in this gallery space and outside of a Gift Shop setting.

"This funding will help the LAC support a greater array of artists in the Main Hall exhibition and programming space, as now 3D artists and artisans will be able to exhibit there. This purchase of these plinths is an integral part of the LAC’s plan to further expand its programming to the arts who reside in the Langleys and beyond"  says Langley Arts Council's Executive Director; Claire Sarfeld.

The Langley Arts Council's home inside of the Aldergrove Kinsmen Community Center is open Tuesday - Saturday from 10:00 - 4:00 and offers arts programming, exhibition opportunities, free community events, and more!
