Langley Arts Council Launches New Art Rentals and Sales Program
Now Accepting Artist Applications for 2026!
July 18, 2025
Langley, BC – The Langley Arts Council is thrilled to announce the launch of its new Art Rentals and Sales (ARS) Program, designed to support emerging, mid-career, and established artists across British Columbia.
This initiative was developed by the Arts Council’s Board of Directors and staff to create more professional opportunities for BC-based visual artists while enhancing corporate and public spaces with original, locally made artwork.
“We’ve been discussing this program for years—refining the process, consulting with artists, and shaping something that truly works for our community,” says Claire Sarfeld, Executive Director of the Langley Arts Council. “It’s about supporting artists in a sustainable, professional way while increasing their visibility across the province.”
Mini Claire, the Langley Arts Council’s Curator and Gallery Coordinator, adds:
“This program allows original artwork to be rented or purchased by corporate clients for workplaces, offices, and gathering spaces. It also serves staging companies, interior designers, and other design industries. Artworks will be available both online and in-person. We hope this program helps artists build their practice, grow their audience, and expand their presence in the local arts scene.”
As part of the pilot rollout, the Arts Council is proud to announce its first confirmed rental partnership with Tinhorn Creek Winery in Oliver, BC.
“At Tinhorn Creek Vineyards, we are thrilled to have this opportunity to partner with the Langley Arts Council on this exciting new Art Rentals and Sales Program in the Okanagan,” says Jesse Collins, Estate Manager of Tinhorn Creek Vineyards. “Remaining focused on supporting fellow Canadian artisans is very important to us. This program will allow us to bring the local community in for a chance to enjoy pieces from artists across BC.”
“We’re excited to deliver and install original artwork in their tasting room in the coming months. This is just the beginning of what we hope will become a growing provincial network of business-art partnerships,” adds Mini Claire.
The Langley Arts Council is currently accepting applications for the 2026 Art Rentals and Sales Program from professional artists residing in British Columbia. Submission guidelines and more information can be found online at langleyarts.ca/submit/ars
